Discover Ecopedagogy
with cellphilms

The goal

This website contains 50 cellphilms as part of the research creation dissertation by UQAM PhD candidate Bachar Chbib. Please comment your feelings, thoughts, emotions, and visceral feedback, including if you wish your political, social and cultural reactions but mostly we are seeking a description of the senses, affects, feelings of kinship, etc. that come to mind as you watch the short films. Reflections about the comments will be integrated in the dissertation. The thesis that comes out of this research creation proposes a way to enhance the learning of Ecopedagogy by teaching students to use digital recording devices and filming short autoethnographic films with other humans and more-than-human entities (such as animals, plants, insects, air, water, dreams, songs, geological formations, ideas, any other entities). The thesis would like to understand the forms of identification, belonging, citizenship and kinship that can be produced by performing this autoethnographic, cellphilming ecopedagogy.
